Doug's
insurance career
spans 27 years
in the industry,
beginning at
LCBA in 1992.
His LCBA career
began as a
programmer/analyst.
During his
tenure at LCBA
he has been in
charge of
underwriting,
claims, member
service,
fraternal
department,
sales,
marketing,
product
development and
information
systems. His
broad range of
experience
serves him well
as President &
CEO.
Doug holds a
BSBA
(information
systems and
accounting
majors) from
Gannon
University in
Erie, PA and
holds multiple
insurance
designations to
include FLMI,
FIFC, ALHC and
ACS. Doug first
came into the
industry as part
of an
independent
financial
planning firm.
He started out
as a programmer,
writing custom
code to help
manage the
firm's many
clients and
their holdings.
Over time his
duties expanded
to include
research and
analysis of
limited
partnerships and
other high risk,
high yield
investments.
Doug also worked
on the firm's
high face and/or
high risk life
cases. Then he
became the
firm's
retirement and
estate planning
expert.
Doug is
married to
Noreen, his wife
of 32 years and
is a father of
four. Doug
identifies
himself as a
"tinkerer" and
works on
projects such as
building model
(RC) airplanes,
restoring a
classic car and
remodeling their
home. He is an
avid bicyclist
and is active in
PTO and youth
sports.
Courtney joined LCBA as Controller
in 2017 after spending the previous 5 years in public accounting as an Auditor.
In her position as Treasurer, she oversees the financial department of LCBA.
Graduating from Penn State University with a BS in Accounting,
Courtney notes that while insurance accounting is a bit different than what they
teach in school, she enjoys the challenges that come with that. She loves
that LCBA is family oriented and she very much enjoys the environment and the people.
Courtney spends her time with her husband and two children. She also has two large dogs,
one of which she notes is the good one, and the other the not so good one.
Employed with
LCBA since 2001,
Becca has over
13 years
experience in
technology, with
an Associate
Degree in
Computer
Information
Systems and an
in-depth working
knowledge of
high-end
insurance-specific
database systems
as well as
numerous
state-specific
insurance
product filing
regulations.
As Vice
President of
Administration,
Becca brings to
her daily tasks
the unique
ability to
manage both data
and individuals,
exercising logic
and sensitivity
in making LCBA
back-end
operations work
smoothly, with
continued
improvement over
time. She is
also an active
participant in
the Life
Insurance
Council (LIC), a
professional
networking
division of
which LCBA is a
member.
Becca's
organizational
skills are put
to the test
through
community
involvement as
well. An active
member of her
community, Becca
is president of
Northwest Little
Gridders, Inc.,
having served in
other volunteer
roles prior to
this.
Married to
her husband
Rusty, Becca is
the mother of
two boys and the
family shares
two dogs and
three cats.
Becca loves
being outdoors,
reading, bowling
and spending
time with her
family.
Employed with
LCBA since 2008,
Matt was
initially hired
as an in-house
agent to help
current and
prospective
members with
their insurance
needs. Over that
time he has
transitioned
from Sales
Representative
to Lead Life
Insurance
Strategist to
Agency
Supervisor and
now VP- Sales &
Marketing. Matt
has over 13
years of
experience as an
insurance agent
and has worked
hard to obtain
his LUTCF
designation in
2014 and
continues to
work towards his
CFP and FLMI
designations in
his spare time.
Graduating
from Edinboro
University with
a bachelor’s
degree in
Communications,
Matt found his
calling in the
insurance
industry as an
agent with
Western-Southern
Financial Group
in Charlotte,
North Carolina
in 2006. This
role helped him
understand the
struggles that
families deal
with when
planning, saving
and trying to
prepare for
retirement. Not
to mention a
newfound
appreciation for
agents and
clients alike.
This role helped
him prepare for
his job with
LCBA. As a
smaller sized
insurance
company, Matt
feels our
strengths are
found in our
ability to work
with our clients
and agents on a
very personal
level. He also
says “We strive
towards working
with our
partners on a
one-on-one basis
and are able to
really listen to
their needs and
desires. Our
size affords us
the ability to
make adjustments
quicker than one
of those large
conglomerate
insurance
companies. Add
that in with our
fraternal
nature, and it’s
easy to see what
makes this
company
special.”
Matt
currently
resides in
Millcreek
township with
his wife Jessica
of 7 years.
These days free
time is mostly
spent hunting,
fishing or
playing golf…
that is when he
isn’t at home
enjoying time
with his lovely,
beautiful wife.
