Matthew Barr

Employed with LCBA since 2008, Matt was initially hired as an in-house agent to help current and prospective members with their insurance needs. Over that time he has transitioned from Sales Representative to Lead Life Insurance Strategist to Agency Supervisor and now VP- Sales & Marketing. Matt has over 13 years of experience as an insurance agent and has worked hard to obtain his LUTCF designation in 2014 and continues to work towards his CFP and FLMI designations in his spare time.

Graduating from Edinboro University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Matt found his calling in the insurance industry as an agent with Western-Southern Financial Group in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2006. This role helped him understand the struggles that families deal with when planning, saving and trying to prepare for retirement. Not to mention a newfound appreciation for agents and clients alike. This role helped him prepare for his job with LCBA. As a smaller sized insurance company, Matt feels our strengths are found in our ability to work with our clients and agents on a very personal level. He also says “We strive towards working with our partners on a one-on-one basis and are able to really listen to their needs and desires. Our size affords us the ability to make adjustments quicker than one of those large conglomerate insurance companies. Add that in with our fraternal nature, and it’s easy to see what makes this company special.”

Matt currently resides in Millcreek township with his wife Jessica of 7 years. These days free time is mostly spent hunting, fishing or playing golf… that is when he isn’t at home enjoying time with his lovely, beautiful wife.

Life Insurance with a Conscience since 1890®.

That simple belief is what differentiates Loyal Christian Benefit Association (LCBA) from competitors. Yes, we sell insurance: Funeral Pre-Arrangement Funding Products, Traditional Life Insurance Plans, and Tax Deferred Annuities. But what makes LCBA different is we operate under the "common bond" of Christianity and return earnings from the sale of financial service products to our member customers and their communities in the form of member benefits, discount programs and scholarship opportunities.

Get connected with us on social networks!

Founded in 1890 LCBA is a unique type of organization that provides the financial protection our members need, with the added benefit of helping those in need. We put our earnings back into communities and causes, not pockets.
